Happy New Year!

Wow! What a year!!! I photographed 27 weddings this year along with a ton of other portraits and events. A new record for me and maybe a new record for Charles Studio. (I’ll have to ask my dad. Wedding photography has changed so much. I’m positive that I trump him in the number of hours spent photographing weddings!) 2012, my second full year owning the business, was really amazing! Charles Studio was named #1 Photographer in Frederick by the Gazette, Best of the Knot by theknot.com, and Brides Choice by weddingwire.com. I’m practically speechless! All I can say is THANK YOU to all of the friends and family who support our local business. Cheers to another great year!

Rockin’ Party

The dance floor was packed at Friday’s wedding. All of the guests had such a great time. Stone Manor is a beautiful place for a wedding. The bride was so beautiful and I loved that she wore her mother’s veil. And, once again, beautiful flowers by Blossom and Basket Boutique.

Last Saturday was an incredibly beautiful day. Low humidity, blue sky, light breeze. The perfect day for camping (in my opinion) and a truly perfect day for a wedding!

Run Away Bride?

I immediately clicked with Peggy and Sam. In addition to being incredibly kind and personable, they are both runners! They actually met in a running club. They had a fantastic wedding with friends and family that incorporated their shared passion. I loved the little marathoner gingerbread cookie!
